Order of Proceedings

Charter Night 1st July 2008

 
7.25pm Toastmaster Richard will call to order and issue the routine Safety & Emergency Routine announcement.
 
7.29pm Toastmaster Richard will invite the Rotary welcome to President Paul and top table guests.
 
7.30pm President Paul will recite the Rotary Grace.
 
Dinner will be served.
 
(Toastmaster Richard Stout will introduce each person)
 
Dinner completed - President Paul will propose the Toast "The Queen".
 
Secretary David will announce the Rollcall of Guests and Rotarians.
                                                   
                                                  INTERVAL
 
DG Tony will be invited to award the Presidential Citations to the R/C's of Whitehaven, West Lakeland, Egremont and Maryport and their Presidents/IPP's will come forward to receive them.
 
Gordon Southward will then be invested by President Paul as President of the R/C of Whitehaven.
 
President Gordon will then present the Past President Medallion to IPP Paul.
 
President Gordon will then invest David Saxon followed by Paul Berry as Vice-Presidents of the Rotary Club of Whitehaven.
 
President Gordon will then announce the conferring of Honorary Membership upon PP Cliff Delamere who will receive his scroll.
 
Rtn Lennie Herbert - R/C of Church & Oswaldtwistle - will then come forward and exchange
Rotary banners with President Gordon.
 
Vice-President David Saxon will then propose the Toast RI, RIBI & District 1190.
 
AG Jack Hobbs will then respond.
 
DG Tony will then propose the Toast Rotary Club of Whitehaven whereby on completion all but members of the R/C of Whitehaven will stand for the toast.
 
President Gordon will then respond.
 
2nd Vice-President Paul Berry will then propose the Toast Guests & Visiting Rotarians whereby on completion only members of the R/C of Whitehaven will stand for the toast.
 
In response Ms Annie Mawson will entertain by singing to harp accompaniment
 
President Gordon will wind up proceedings with the Toast Rotary Fellowship & Peace the World Over.
