There were no Guests.
 
Visits to Other Clubs: PP Richard and Margaret had attended the new Rotary Club of Carlisle Castle inaugural charter last Friday and enjoyed an excellent evening of Rotary fellowship with guest speaker RIBI V-P (elect) Jim Moulson. (Because the Secretary had failed to give Richard a banner he was unable to exchange with the new club !)
 
Birthdays: PP John Boag - 25th
 
Presidential Announcements: Anthony read out a letter from Janet Hayter thanking the club for their recent generous donation to Children of Chernobyl.
 
Secretary's Announcements: Three charter invitations - R/C of Wigton Fri 17th Oct (partners welcome, menu choice), R/C of Penrith Fri 24th Oct, R/C of Barrow 13th November (partners welcome, menu choice).
On behalf of PP Ronnie, the Secretary has Race Night tickets for sale (£6). To be held at Moresby Social Club 17th Oct.
 
Members Announcements: Final call for raffle ticket counterfoils for the R/C of Workington draw. If you are unable to hand them to Richard, mail them to the President of R/C of W'ton.

There being no Other Business a short Rotary facts & figures quiz was conducted the quiz sheet being loaned by PP Richard following his recent visit to R/C of Carlisle Castle.
 
Club Draw: Won by PHF Tom Stout ticket number 326.
 
Next Week: The Club meeting will be held at Moresby Social Club and will comprise of Darts/Dominoes/Pool at which the ladies are invited and a "Pie & Peas Supper" will be layed on.
 
Fellowship Officer: PP Ricky fined two members for late arrival then told a clean and none vulgar joke,
