Donald Dixon is at home. He is weak after his operation and will be off work for 8 weeks
John Kennedy has undergone knee surgery & has recovered well.
Youth Speaks:This took place last week between two teams from St Benedicts. Both were intermediate level teams. The girls won. both teams will competee in the next round at Kendall on 7.2.09 and will besponsored by ourselves and Whitehaven Castle.

Anthony Payne:
The next round of the QUIZ will be against Appleby on Monday 2.2.09 at thee Spoortsman. Our team will be A Payne, T Parker, G Burgess and I Watson.
High Technical College , Kenya: Anthony has received word about the general progress of the college and has been advised that our donation has been used to sponsor a young boy to learn a trade. Anthony has kindly offered to speak to the club on this sub ject.
 
Sport: The snooker team will play tomorrow at the Union Club, Workington

Club draw: 320 R Carling and 316 F Todhunter having recently won this draw declined the prize. At the third attemp ticket 306 was drawn but was not claimed! The 5 GBP was given to club funds.
