Cub Charter Presentation by RIBI President Ian Thompson

Carlisle Castle Club will meet at the Pine Grove Hotel on 14.5.09 at 6.45-7. The guest will be Annemarie Hart, CEO at RIBI. Cost 8.50 GBP

The date and venue of the President’s Ball have to be finalized.

Hospice at Home: Marshalls are needed for their midnight walk on Friday 14.6.09

Ronnie Proudfoot: Indian Meal , Ali Taj, 21.4.09. 7 pm. So far we have 8 names. Please let me know by next Wednesday if you are going.

Anthony Payne: The Quiz team will play the semi final tie at Penrith Golf Club on Tuesday 7.5.09.  Unfortunately this clashes with an evening meeting but if you are in the Penrith area that evening visit the Golf club and support the team.

Harry Harper: The snooker team beat Egremont 3-1 and may yet win the snooker league.

Ian Watson: There will be a Golf competition on 20.6.09 in aid of the Howard Jeffrey fund.  John Boag is arranging it; further details to follow.

The nominations for club officers and election of council members were carried.

David Saxon and Paul Berry were elected to represent the club at District Council with Anthony Payne and Tony Parker as deputies.

Reports were read buy the outgoing committee chairmen.

1st VP David Saxon outlined the arrangements for our club charter on 7.7.09 at Hunday Manor.

There being no other business President Gordon expressed his thanks to the club and was warmly applauded.

Fellowship Officer Richard Carling: No fines.  He then told the tale of a policeman whose actions may or may not have been appropriate.
