President’s Announcements:
Food
Festival Rota going
around, pleased to see more names down, could do with more support for Saturday
evening. There will be a prize draw on the harbour side. Entrants
will be able to win an overnight accommodation in one of the Shelter Box Tents
in the grounds of Moresby Hall. For every 100 £1 tickets sold there will
be a winner, the odds are good and Dinner and Breakfast will be included.
Full details will be provided to each applicant. There will be up to 8
winners, some couples and some single persons.
The pre
meeting Farm yard visit was good fun and most interesting, I am sure the
members who attended would agree.
A
certificate was given to PP John
Along
with PP Geoff Burgess, John was instrumental in starting the Rotary Club of
Whitehaven Castle. In recognition of this both John and Geoff were made
Honorary Life Members of the Castle Club.
Although
John has been unable to maintain active membership he still taking a keen interest in the activities of both this Club and the Castle
Club.
We
– the Rotary Club of Whitehaven – are proud give this Honorary Membership to
John and wish him well.
