The pre meeting Farm yard visit was good fun and most interesting, I am sure the members who attended would agree.

A certificate was given to PP John Dixon to give him Honorary Membership to the Club. John became a Rotarian in 1981, he was inducted as President of our Club in 1991/1992. He served with distinction on several Rotary committees, chairing several, in particular the Rotaract Committee which became very active with over twenty young members.

Along with PP Geoff Burgess, John was instrumental in starting the Rotary Club of Whitehaven Castle.  In recognition of this both John and Geoff were made Honorary Life Members of the Castle Club.
