members; copies were available at the registration desk.

The Masons are holding a Charity Dinner

The Quiz team
is in action on Wednesday 16th September v. Keswick at 7 for 7.30 at
the Chase.
The Secretary has also taken part in the first
heat of the new series of Radio 4’s Brain of Britain
- the
broadcast goes out at 1.30 pm on Monday 12th October.
Club Members’ Announcements:
David Allan expressed
concern over the new Government rules governing contact with vulnerable people
and the effect this may have on Rotary service.
The Secretary will consult the District Protection Officer and the
District Youth Activities Chairman.
Ian Watson discussed
the Howard Jeffery Sports Foundation: donations are still welcome for money for
local use.
Speaker: Mary Ann Lancaster
gave a lively presentation of how her organisation works to help those who have
had, for example, strokes or who have other problems, to learn. Members of the Club took part in activities
which stimulated memory. There were many
interested questions at the end.
