and very interesting account of his recent trip to South America and the
Birthdays this Week:

President’s Announcements:
The December 22nd (Christmas lunch) meeting will be an
evening meeting.
The Club will be helping at the
Energus
may be able to help to alleviate effects of the disaster -
there is a meeting tonight (Tuesday) to discuss the Energus
Christmas Dinner project.
The Rotary Cookbook
was on sale at £5 a copy and a list was going round.
Secretarial Announcements: Workington Charter (last call today!); Keswick Charter (5.1); Rotary Club of Lisbon
had sent a general e-mail with greetings which the Secretary has reciprocated.
Club Members’ Announcements: Geoff Burgess: help had been offered
by all Rotary Clubs; Cockermouth was organising sub-committees. Workington was accepting donations of white
goods. Help would be needed for months
in the form of physical help and goods rather than money.
John Messenger:
Impact Housing was collecting goods; the Trust Fund had received £360 000
already.
