President’s  Announcements: Yesterday’s Calvert Trust Awareness Day had been cancelled because of the weather.  Cliff Delamere’s water supply is frozen: Pres David will be visiting him to help: any visitors please take water with them.  Council will take place on Wed 20th January.  The RI/RIBI Database was difficult to access: Pres David will do some research and advise the Club.  There will be a “Thanks for Life” event at Tesco in February where members will be needed to raise the profile of Rotary and collect money  -  Pres David will advise re the date.

 

Secretarial Announcements:  West Lakeland Burns Night Tues 26th Jan at the Red Admiral 7 for 7.30, £20/head: please advise Sec immediately if you wish to go.  Ambleside Charter (last call 19.1); Workington Derwent Charter (last call 26.1); Windermere Boat Trip Friday May 21st: Sec Anthony will be on “Brain of Britain on Radio 4 at 1.30 on Monday 18th January.

Donald Brownrigg announced a lack of progress on all Youth projects as the school had only just gone back and the weather had been an issue.
