President’s  Announcements: Tesco collection for Thanks for Life: a list is circulating for helpers: Peta Leigh is writing an article for the Whitehaven News.

Letter of thanks received from St James’ Church re Tree Festival: this had raised £3000.

Our contestant Rebecca Monaghan has won Young Chef County Final and goes forward to Colwyn Bay in 20th March.

The Chase has announced that the price of the meal will be £9.50 from April.

 

Secretarial Announcements:  Ulverston Charter 10th March, menu choice, last call 23rd Feb; Maryport Charter 19th March, menu choice, last call 9th March.

 

Club Members’ Announcements   Richard Stout announced that we will be hosting Young Chef next year.

Terry O’Connell announced that St Nichols café has been booked to be run by the Club on Saturday 29th May: 25% of the takings go to the Church, 75% to the Club: volunteers will be needed.

Mark Harrison announced that there will be darts, pool and dominoes v. Workington Derwent next Tuesday: we won the snooker v. Maryport.

Ronnie Proudfoot announced a Race Night on October 8th at Moresby Social Club to raise money for the LIARS Christmas Dinner.
