President’s Announcements:
Rebecca will be competing in Young Chef at Colwyn
Bay on 20th March: the Club agreed to cover expenses of £100 and a
Rotary apron.
We will be running next year’s
Young Chef competition: someone will need to take over Youth
Opportunities.
John Dyson
will replace Alan F-F as Chairman of COMVOC as he is on leave of absence.
The collection at Tesco raised £250-300: the money will be sent to
District on behalf of both Clubs.
Edgar’s have offered to fill a car
with balloons at the Food Festival: Mike Shields has some signed England
shirts for prizes: David Allan says we have a space, preferably close to the
Edgar’s stand.

Mark Harrison announced sporting
success: we won Pool/Darts/Dominoes v. Workington Derwent - Man
of the Match was Ronnie Proudfoot. We also won snooker v. Workington Derwent 4-0, and also v. Cockermouth
4-0. Snooker match v. Workington to be
organised.

Subject: The work of the British Search and Rescue
Charity SARAID, specifically in response to the earthquake in Haiti: in the
opinion of the Secretary, this was one of the best talks we have had for some
time and it was followed by a lively question and answer session.
