President’s Announcements:
The Shelterbox that we have funded is already on its way to Haiti. Vintage Rally is on 4th July, an
opportunity to top up the tan. There are
still 4-5 tickets available for the Ball on Saturday.
Secretarial Announcements: Kendal Charter 21st April, menu
choice, last call TODAY (ACP away thereafter);
Appleby Charter 16th April, menu choice, last call TODAY; West Lakeland Charter 23rd April,
last call TODAY.
While Sec Anthony is away for the next
two weeks, John Kennedy will deal with any secretarial matters.
Sea Cadets have applied for a grant:
this will be considered at Council -
there might be a talk to the Club in this connection. The Training Ship will be at Whitehaven for a
week in the summer, and there may be the possibility of a Club visit.
Club Members’ Announcements David Allan
reported that Cliff is in Patterdale Ward, rather frail but hoping to go
home soon: he would welcome visitors.
Gordon presented £50 from Bill Lee
towards the Dance Fund in lieu of attending.
