President’s  Announcements:

  • Cliff Delamere came out of Hospital last Thurs and is now at home but not very well at present       
  • Council meeting on 21st April (7 for 7:15pm) 
  • The Richard Graham memorial walk 24th April at 2:00pm 
  • Clay pigeon shoot on 4th May meeting at John Messenger’s farm followed by buffet supper at Moresby Social.  Cost £20.  Guns etc provided.  All welcome inc guests. 
  • “Stroke Awareness Day” arranged for 8th May at Tesco
  • Ladies’ Night on Frid 28th May @ Lyzzick Hall.  20 places reserved
  • Vintage Rally on 4th July, jointly with Castle Club. Help with car parking will be needed

 

 (Assistant) Secretarial Announcements: 

John Kennedy passed on an appeal from Donald Brownrigg to assist in interviewing RYLA candidates on Thurs 22nd April at St Benedict’s and Whitehaven schools.

(Note: Andrew King subsequently agreed to help.)

Fellowship Officer: In the absence of the Fellowship Officer, Paul Berry told a joke centred around the words prostitute and protestant.  Harry Harper responded with one about bull’s testicles and matadors.
