This was one of Past President Anthony Payne projects during his year in office 2006-2007.  The Club continues to support this worthy cause as much as possible.

This morning I took some photos of the students and staff. I hope they will form an update.
We have 14 motor vehicle student, 2 mason and 2 alectrical students

12th July 2009, The Cross Fell Challenge Initiative

To set up a ShelterBox encampment on the top of Cross Fell (11th - 19th July 2009).

To offer sponsors donating the full cost of a ShelterBox a night in the camp.
To seek participants willing to sponsor a ShelterBox for £490.
ShelterBoxes may be bought in whole or part, maybe even as a group.
Organisations may nominate one person per box purchased.
The camp is reached by an easy 2 mile fell top walk along the Pennine Way.

Usbourne Illustrated Dictionaries given out to the Children at Kells School, Whitehaven
